Introduction

There are many amazing buildings in India, one of which is the Qutub Minar. Qutub Minar is located in Mehrauli south of Delhi, the capital of India. The construction of Qutub Minar started in the 12th century by Qutubuddin Aibak, the ruler of the Ghulam dynasty. But this tower could not be completed during his reign, due to which his successor Iltutmish completed the construction of Qutub Minar. Qutub Minar (also known as Qutub Minar or Qatab Minar) is the famous Indian historical monument, which is counted among the second largest minarets in India (the first minaret is Fateh Burj (Chappar Chidi, Mauhali), 100 meters long).
Qutub Minar is an Indian historical monument, which stands alone as a major attraction among other historical monuments in India. Qutb means the pillar of justice. It is located in the capital of India, namely Delhi. Qutub Minar has become one of the largest and famous towers in the world. It has been listed among UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is a great example of a masterpiece of Mughal architecture. It is a 73-meter-long, red sandstone tower in 13th-century architectural style (Indo-Islamic architecture).

Feature of Qutub Minar

This tower is also called the highest dome tower. Most of the red colored sandstone has been used on it. It was built by Qutb-ud-Din Aibak and his successors in the 12th and 13th centuries to commemorate the victory of Muhammad Ghori over the Rajputs. Earlier, it was a symbol of the military power of the Ottoman-Afghan Empire and Islam. It is one of the tallest towers in conical shape with a base diameter of 14.3 meters and a top diameter of 2.7 meters. It has 379 staircases and five separate floors inside it. The top floor of the tower offers a spectacular view of the city. Its first three storeys are built of red sandstone, however, the fourth and fifth floors are built using marble and red sandstone.

The conclusion

Many more buildings were constructed near this tower, like Alai Minar, it was built by Alauddin Khilji, it is believed that he wanted to build a tower higher than Qutub Minar, but after the death of Khilji, this work remained incomplete.
